El Zonte - A Smile Like This
There are places that grow inside you. 2 weeks ago, when I walked into the small surf village of El Zonte, i didn’t realize I had an appointment with reality. The village kids were laughing and calling me Hollywood because of my sunglasses. You should have seen the smile on their faces, growing up with that giant wave in their backyard. They have nothing on their feet, but never seem to...

Salvador - The Eldorado Pilgrim
I needed some time alone with the Architect. By the ocean, I can find peace and focus to imagine, scheme and draw how I see the future in my mind. For this two weeks retreat, I chose the Eldorado surf resort located in the small El Zonte village. Surfers were somehow intrigued that I was more into books than waves. But I found my perfect wave, inside me.

The House We Found
Our creative director had the brilliant idea to take us offsite for a little classe verte. We just welcomed 3 new creative teams and he felt that we had a little more bounding to do in order to produce more award winning material in the future. Read be trapped togheter in a shack, fighting for beds / hot water. Between two brainstorms we challenged the forest and found a timeless house by the...

Sid Lee's Meet and Greet in SOHO
In a recent visit in NYC, our Sid Lee’s CEO stumbled upon this joint. Tacombi is a small mexican restaurant where you can enjoy tacos made out of an old westfalia and have killer juices. This was the best place to host our portfolio night. This is Sid Lee at it’s best, selling the dream abroad and bringing home the best talent. Each aspiring talent had 10 minutes to showoff his...

The Return of a Prince
Once upon a time, there was a prince with no kingdom. He travelled the world for many months, searching for the best textiles to cut his new costumes. On his incredible journey, he met other nobles from all over Europe. They could easily tell he was a real prince by the way he always dresses so well. But they were always asking, where could they find his kingdom? Isaac simply smiled. His kingdom...

Charlie where are you?
These are actual still frames from my upcoming video Ton Retour. It will be an epic lovesong / lookbook / shortfilm. I don’t even know how to call this stuff anymore… It will tell the story of up and coming model Charlie Hunter, waiting love letters from oversea. This scene is taking place on a Mile end rooftop when she finally sees her true love homecoming. Charlie is represented by...

Hampton Beach: Salty Breeze
In my attempts to romanticize this pizza-by-the slice kingdom, I walked a few miles away from the boardwalk to discover this private road. . It’s hard to tell by looking at the picture, but this bench is perched over a 40 feet cliff. Flag obsession. In this local street, a man is sweeping the house front to make it more appealing just before rental season. This dune might...

Hampton Beach is not part of "The Hamptons"
I had my bag packed full of oxford shirts, a few Monocle magazines and a brand new pair of boat shoes, ready to spend a few summer days the “Old money way”. Anyways, I was still able to capture those sweet “Coney Island vibes” and...

A backstreet party
First I heard the music. Then the voice of an old english lady: “Would you like a corn?” One thing I really appreciate about Montreal is the possibility to get lost anywhere. This Ritual Is Sacred
After the loss of a relative, Mario Lafrenais had to go through the cookie-cutter process of funeral services. In these moments, everything goes so fast that you kinda loose the sacred touch with the funeral rituals. It’s the idea of paying a little more respect to this ritual that brought Moine Urbain to design elegant ceremonial Urns. The workshop / house / boutique undercover in...

A House By The River
My parents own a house by the Saint Lawrence River. This is the kind of houses you see in bank commercials. Once the children are gone and you have plenty of hobbies. Laying in their bed, you can watch the morning cargo ships pass between your toes. Every walk I took on this shore became a prehistorical adventure. Changing weather, seagulls, and the water. .

Behind Closed Doors
There are places you approach with great respect. The heritage they hold inside their walls must be preserved and pass throught rituals and tradition to only a select few. The future is so bright
On my way to work, I got lost in the city. As I needed a few minutes to rest, I layed my head on the pavement and fell asleep. All I could see was the neverending blue. I was not afraid. The future seemed so bright. I saw a ladder that was getting lost into the clouds. I put my feet on the first step, then the second. Never look down. I am not afraid. The future is so bright.

CANNES: the tipping point
I was drunk. Feeling the waves crashing on my ankles as I was looking at all the yatchs illuminating the bay. This is where I realized how much I liked advertising. I smiled at the ocean and came back to the black tie...
