Today’s casting session was taking place in Darwin Studios opened a few weeks (days) ago. According to twenty-something owner Catherine, the studio provides a closer location for casting directors and production companies based in the Mile End area. It is in fact located just under Jet Films and Attraction Media. Smart move.
To those unfamiliar with the business, a casting studio is simply a place you can rent by the hour, providing all the facilities and instruments to ease the fastpace casting process. Cameras, lighting, playback monitors and a chill atmosphere. Usually a cute receptionist too.
